UI Designer

Job description

You will join our Global Product team, in which you will be creating UI and visual design for our applications - a web and mobile application that help students all over the world including Japan to effectively and continuously learn in various environments, and a web app for teachers who support such students.

As a senior designer, you will significantly enhance our existing products such as Study Sapuri and Quipper Platform by creating wireframes, mock-ups, and interaction designs, adjusting layouts and conducting user tests.

We are especially looking for someone who has a detailed knowledge in visual design. In addition to experience in designing UI for applications, the ability to create beautiful shapes and layouts based on broad knowledge of design is essential in this role.

While you work in Tokyo, you will be communicating with our overseas Developer team. Though TOEIC score is not necessarily required, we would welcome a confident English speaker or someone who is willing to learn English.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in creating UI for web apps or mobile apps.
  • Hands-on experience in prototyping and wireframing.
  • Ability to create pixel-perfect artworks.
  • Various experience in graphic design and ability to put it into practice.
  • Sympathy with our mission to be “Distributors of Wisdom” and revolutionize the way learning opportunities are distributed.
  • Business-level Japanese communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in providing continuous design improvement through user tests.
  • Basic Understanding of HTML, SCSS, JavaScript (preferably someone who could adjust layouts using Scratch.)
  • Ability and willingness to write and communicate in English.
