Simak uraian berikut ini, ya, Quipperian!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Mekanisme Singkat Pernapasan<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/21bab-bagaimana-cara-sel-bernapas-dan-menghasilkan-energi-untuk-tubuh.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" ><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/21bab-bagaimana-cara-sel-bernapas-dan-menghasilkan-energi-untuk-tubuh.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"468\" height=\"328\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-213042\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Udara di atmosfer bumi terdiri dari berbagai macam gas. Hampir 21% kandungannya merupakan gas oksigen. Ketika kita menghirup napas, maka udara \u2013 termasuk oksigen \u2013 akan masuk ke dalam hidung kemudian melalui laring menuju trakea hingga memenuhi paru-paru. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Organ ini memiliki kurang lebih 300 juta alveolus sebagai tempat pertukaran antara oksigen dan karbondioksida. Sesampainya di alveolus, oksigen menembus dinding kapiler darah yang mengelilingi alveolus kemudian masuk ke dalam pembuluh darah yang mengandung sel darah merah. Sel yang memiliki kandungan hemoglobin ini menyambut kedatangan oksigen dengan menggandengnya membentuk oksihemoglobin (HbO<\/span><sub><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">2<\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Selanjutnya, HbO<\/span><sub><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">2<\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> beredar ke seluruh tubuh mengikuti alirah darah. Sesampainya di sel tubuh, hemoglobin melepaskan oksigen agar masuk ke dalam sel tubuh dan melakukan proses respirasi atau pernapasan yang sesungguhnya. Jadi, proses respirasi pada tingkat seluler terjadi di dalam sel tubuh, lebih tepatnya di dalam sitoplasma (cairan sel).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Sejenak kita tinggalkan dahulu oksigen yang sudah berada di dalam mitokondria. Kita beralih pada apa yang kita makan. Selain bernapas, kita pun tentu perlu mengonsumsi makanan penuh gizi agar tidak lemas dan sanggup menghadapi hari. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Akan tetapi, apa yang sesungguhnya terjadi di dalam tubuh setelah kita mencerna makanan? Bagaimana bisa makanan turut menghasilkan energi bagi tubuh? Ternyata Quipperian, setelah melalui proses pencernaan yang panjang, makanan yang kita makan \u2013 dalam hal ini kita fokuskan pada karbohidrat \u2013 akan diserap oleh dinding-dinding kapiler yang berada di dalam usus halus menuju pembuluh darah. Pada fase ini, karbohidrat telah bertemu dengan berbagai jenis enzim dan melalui berbagai proses kimia hingga berubah menjadi monosakarida.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Ketika monosakarida telah masuk ke dalam pembuluh darah, namanya pun berubah menjadi gula darah atau glukosa (C<\/span><sub><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">6<\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">H<\/span><sub><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">12<\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">O<\/span><sub><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">6<\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">). Selanjutnya, sama seperti oksigen, glukosa pun disambut dengan baik dan diedarkan oleh sel darah menuju sel tubuh. Jadi selain mengantarkan oksigen, sel darah merah juga turut mengantarkan sari makanan \u2013 seperti glukosa \u2013 ke dalam sel tubuh, <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">lho<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">, Quipperian. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Itulah sebabnya jika kita kekurangan sel darah merah, kita akan merasa pusing karena jumlah oksigen dan nutrisi lain yang disalurkan ke dalam sel tubuh tidak optimal. Pada intinya, respirasi sel adalah proses pengubahan glukosa oleh oksigen menjadi energi. Jadi memang glukosa dan oksigen yang menjadi tokoh utamanya. Tahapan tersebut adalah:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight:400;\"><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Glikolisis<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight:400;\"><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Siklus Krebs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight:400;\"><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Transfer Elektron<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Kali ini, kita akan fokus terlebih dahulu pada glikolisis. Glukosa (<\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">glucose<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">) berasal dari bahasa yunani, yaitu <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">gluc<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">&#8211; yang artinya manis dan &#8211;<\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">ose<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> yang artinya gula. Sementara itu, glikolisis bermula dari kata <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">gluc<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">&#8211; yang berarti manis dan &#8211;<\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">lysis<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight:400;\"> yang berarti pemecahan atau pemisahan. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Jadi pada prinsipnya, glikolisis merupakan proses pemecahan glukosa. Pada glikolisis, satu molekul glukosa dipecah menjadi 2 molekul asam piruvat. Fase investasi<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Tahapan ini disebut fase investasi karena untuk bisa menghasilkan energi, tubuh kita harus menggunakan energi. Ya, harus ada modal. Modal yang digunakan adalah 2 ATP untuk setiap molekul glukosa. Reaksinya adalah sebagai berikut:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Selanjutnya, masing-masing molekul PGAL masuk ke dalam fase panen.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>2. Fase panen<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:400;\">Pada fase investasi, kita telah menggunakan 2 ATP untuk memecah glukosa menjadi PGAL. Nah pada fase panen, masing-masing molekul PGAL akan menghasilkan 2 molekul ATP sehingga total diperoleh 4 ATP dari 2 PGAL. Tidak hanya itu, fase ini juga turut menghasilkan NADH yang pada fase transfer elektron akan menghasilkan ATP jauh lebih banyak.
