Jika zat terlarutnya banyak, maka larutan yang dibentuk memiliki konsentrasi tinggi (pekat). Sebaliknya, jika zat terlarutnya sedikit, larutan yang dibentuk memiliki konsentrasi rendah (encer). Lalu, apa satuan konsentrasi? Ternyata, ada banyak ya satuan dari konsentrasi larutan ini, diantaranya persen massa, persen volume, persen massa per volume, molaritas, molalitas, dan fraksi mol. Persen massa (%<i>m<\/i>\/<i>m<\/i>)<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Persen massa menunjukkan massa suatu zat dalam 100 gram larutannya. Pengenceran<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Untuk mengurangi tingkat kepekatan suatu larutan, Quipperian bisa melakukannya dengan menambahkan air. Metode ini dikenal sebagai pengenceran. Larutan yang diencerkan jelas mengalami perubahan konsentrasi dan volume. Namun demikian, jumlah mol larutan tidak berubah.
