Bentuk parabola ditunjukkan pada gambar 1.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suatu parabola memiliki suatu persamaan. Kita misalkan suatu parabola memiliki titik puncak di (0,0) dan memiliki titik fokus di (o,p). parabola tersebut memiliki nilai direktriks dengan persamaan y = -p, sehingga semua titik pada D dapat dituliskan sebagai (x,-p). parabola tersebut ditunjukkan pada gambar 2. Sehingga dengan menggunakan rumus jarak dan menerapkan definisi bahwa <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">d<\/span><sub><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1\u00a0<\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">= <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">d<\/span><sub><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
