Sebagaimana Quipperian ketahui, <\/span><strong>gerak lurus beraturan<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> adalah gerak suatu benda yang menempuh lintasan garis lurus dengan kelajuan tetap. Pada GLB, baik besar <\/span><strong>kecepatan(kelajuan)<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> maupun arah <\/span><strong>kecepatan<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> adalah <\/span><strong>tetap<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Sedangkan <\/span><strong>Gerak Melingkar beraturan <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">didefiniskan sebagai gerak suatu benda menempuh lintasan melingkar dengan kelajuan (atau besar kecepatan)<\/span><strong> tetap<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> artinya <\/span><strong>percepatan sudutnya nol.<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Jadi yang membedakan pada Gerak Melingkar Beraturan adalah <\/span><strong>lintasannya berupa lingkaran<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Percepatan tersebut selalu tegak lurus terhadap kecepatan liniernya dan mengarah ke pusat lingkaran disebut dengan <\/span><strong>percepatan sentripetal<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. (Kata <\/span><strong>sentripetal<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> berasal dari kata Yunani, yang berarti <\/span><strong>mencari pusat<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).
