Balok memiliki <\/span><b>6 sisi, 12 rusuk, dan 8 titik sudut<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Balok memiliki elemen-elemen yaitu <\/span><b>panjang, lebar, dan tinggi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><b>Panjang balok<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> adalah rusuk terpanjang dari alas balok, lebar balok adalah rusuk terpendek dari sisi alas balok, sedangkan <\/span><b>tinggi balok<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> adalah rusuk tegak lurus terhadap panjang dan lebar balok. Volume merupakan banyaknya takaran yang dapat digunakan untuk memenuhi bejana di dalam bangun ruang itu sendiri. Sedangkan luas permukaan adalah total keseluruhan permukaan suatu benda, yang dihitung dengan menjumlah seluruh permukaan pada benda tersebut. Rumus umum dari volume dan luas permukaan balok adalah sebagai berikut :\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Volume Balok <\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">= <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">p x l x t<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Luas permukaan balok<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">= <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 ( p\u00a0 x l+p x t+l x t)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Satuan Volume Balok adalah <\/span><strong>m<sup>3<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Balok memiliki unsur-unsur yang sejenis. Contohnya bidang-bidang suatu balok berbentuk persegi panjang. Dan bidang ini saling berhadapan , memiliki nilai yang sama dan sebangun (kongruen) dan sejajar. Contoh pada balok KLMN. OPQR, bidang KLMN dan bidang LMQP berbentuk persegi panjang. Bidang yang sejajar dengan bidang gambar pada balok disebut dengan <\/span><b>bidang frontal<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Sedangkan bidang yang tegak lurus dengan bidang gambar disebut dengan <\/span><b>bidang orthogonal<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Contoh bidang frontal adalah KLOP, NMQR. TUVW di bawah ini : panjang diagonal balok tersebut contohnya SQ, TV, UW, dll. <\/span><b>Panjang diagonal balok<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> merupakan panjang yang menghubungkan suatu titik sudut dengan titik sudut lain di seberangnya. Sedangkan <\/span><b>diagonal ruang balok<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> adalah panjang diagonal yang menggabungkan bidang 1 dengan bidang lainnya. Contohnya QW, PV, dll. Sedangkan <\/span><b>bidang diagonal <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">adalah daerah yang dibatasi oleh dua buah diagonal ruang yang saling berhadapan dan membagi bangun ruang menjadi 2 bagian.
