Dalam dunia elektronika, kapasitor biasa dilambangkan sebagai <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ilmuwan yang pertama kali menemukan adanya kapasitor adalah Michael Faraday. Bahan dielektrik adalah bahan yang bersifat sebagai isolator listrik. Artinya, tidak akan ada arus listrik yang akan melalui bahan dielektrik.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bahan ini bisa berupa zat padat, cair, dan gas. Contoh bahan dielektrik yang umum digunakan adalah udara, keramik, gelas, nitrogen, maupun belerang.
