Ketelitian jangka sorong mencapai 0,1 mm atau 0,01 cm. Jangka sorong bisa digunakan untuk mengukur diameter luar dan dalam suatu cincin, kedalaman bejana sempit, ketebalan pelat, dan sebagainya. Alat ini diciptakan oleh seorang ilmuwan asal Perancis, yaitu Pierre Vernier. Rahang bawah<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rahang bawah ini berfungsi untuk mengukur diameter luar suatu objek. Misalnya saja mengukur diameter pipa atau cincin. Rahang luar memiliki dua bagian, yaitu rahang geser dan rahang tetap.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>2. Rahang atas<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rahang atas jangka sorong berfungsi untuk mengukur diameter bagian dalam suatu benda. Misalnya diameter pipa atau cincin. Sama seperti rahang bawah, rahang atas juga memiliki rahang geser dan rahang tetap.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>3. Pengukur kedalaman (<\/b><b><i>depth probe<\/i><\/b><b>)<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pengukur kedalaman terletak di bagian ujung jangka sorong. Bagian ini berfungsi untuk mengukur kedalaman suatu objek, misalnya kedalaman bejana sempit.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>4. Skala utama rahang bawah<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bagian ini berfungsi untuk membaca hasil pengukuran, biasanya dalam satuan cm. Skala utama rahang bawah jangka sorong terdiri dari angka 0 \u2013 17 cm dengan panjang setiap garis pendeknya 1 mm.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>5. Skala utama rahang atas<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skala utama rahang atas fungsinya sama dengan skala utama rahang bawah, yaitu menunjukkan hasil pengukuran.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>6. Skala nonius rahang bawah<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skala nonius adalah skala tambahan pada rahang bawah yang menunjukkan ketelitian jangka sorong.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>7. Skala nonius rahang atas<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Skala nonius adalah skala tambahan pada rahang atas yang menunjukkan ketelitian jangka sorong.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>8. Pengunci<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pengunci berfungsi untuk menahan batang ukur agar skala tidak bergerak saat pengukuran.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Cara Membaca Jangka Sorong<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sebelum membaca jangka sorong, kamu harus meletakkan benda yang akan diukur di bagian rahang atas\/bawah dengan cara dijepitkan. Berdasarkan gambar di atas, skala utamanya adalah 2,4 cm.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tentukan skala noniusnya dengan cara melihat skala nonius yang berhimpit dengan skala utama. Berdasarkan gambar di atas, skala nonius yang ditunjuk adalah 7. Artinya, 7 x ketelitian alat = 7 x 0,01 = 0,07 cm.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gunakan persamaan berikut.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HP = Skala utama + Skala nonius<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;= 2,4 + (7 x 0,01)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;= 2,47 cm<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Hal-Hal yang Harus diperhatikan Saat Menggunakan Jangka Sorong<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agar hasil pengukuran bisa presisi, ada beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan, yaitu sebagai berikut.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pastikan benda yang akan diukur benar-benar terjepit oleh rahang. Jangan sampai hanya di permukaannya saja agar skala yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil pengukurannya tepat.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pastikan posisi angka nol dari skala ukur dan sejajar dengan muka rahang.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hindari pembacaan hasil pengukuran saat alat belum dikunci.
