Air <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kan<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> hal esensial yang dibutuhkan oleh manusia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Salah satu fenomena yang dapat menyebabkan kekeringan di negara kita adalah El Nino. Istilah ini sebelumnya diperkirakan berasal dari istilah El Nino de Navidad yang berarti anak Tuhan. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lho,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> kok bisa begitu? Apa hubungannya, ya?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ternyata, itu karena pada awalnya El Nino (de Navidad) disadari pertama kali oleh para nelayan di sepanjang pantai Ekuador dan Peru pada waktu berdekatan dengan hari Natal di bulan Desember. Waktu itu, muncul aliran atau arus panas yang tidak seperti biasanya di Samudra Pasifik. Para nelayan tidak melaut karena ikan menjadi lebih sedikit pada saat aliran tersebut muncul.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pada saat proses terjadinya, tidak hanya menaikkan temperatur pada lokasi yang terbatas, melainkan dapat menjangkau hingga 5000 mil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Nino tidak terjadi setiap tahun. Meskipun frekuensi pastinya tidak dapat dipastikan, umumnya terjadi sekali dalam rata-rata 2-7 tahun. Sekali terjadi, dapat berlangsung selama 9-12 bulan. Namun, dalam kondisi tertentu, dapat mencapai hingga tahunan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Bagaimana Bisa Terjadi?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-287132\" src=\"https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-3.png 800w, https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-3-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-3-768x512.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Nino yang juga merupakan salah satu gejala pada iklim ini dinyatakan terjadi apabila terdapat kenaikan suhu rata-rata air laut di Samudra Pasifik sebanyak minimum 0.5 derajat Celcius.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pada saat terjadi, terdapat hubungan di antara samudra dan atmosfer secara masif yang menghasilkan suhu lebih hangat tersebut. Kenaikan suhu ini secara lebih spesifik terjadi pada bagian pusat dan timur Samudra Pasifik Ekuatorial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kenaikan suhu ini menyebabkan meningkatnya kelembapan di atmosfer yang ada di atas Samudra Pasifik, meningkatkan pembentukan awan di samudra. Karena pembentukan awan meningkat, tekanan udara pada barat Samudra Pasifik akan meningkat juga.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Karena itu, suhu air laut di Indonesia bagian timur akan menurun sehingga menghambat pertumbuhan awan dan menurunkan curah hujan.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Dampak El Nino di Seluruh Dunia<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-287131\" src=\"https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-4.png 800w, https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-4-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-4-768x512.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tidak semua El Nino menghasilkan dampak yang sama. Tercatat bahwa yang paling \u2018lemah\u2019 hanya menaikkan temperatur air laut sebanyak 1-2 derajat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Karenanya, dikatakan tidak begitu memengaruhi perikanan di Amerika Selatan. Namun, salah satu yang \u2018terkuat\u2019 pada tahun 1982-1983 disebut-sebut menghasilkan pengaruh sangat buruk bagi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quipper.com\/id\/blog\/mapel\/geografi\/cuaca-dan-iklim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cuaca<\/a> lokal, kehidupan laut, hingga kondisi iklim di berbagai lokasi yang tersebar di seluruh dunia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selain itu dapat menyebabkan suhu tidak normal yang lebih hangat ataupun lebih kering, tersebar dari Kanada hingga Amerika Serikat. Musim dingin yang lebih dingin di Britania Raya juga dapat terjadi karena El Nino.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dampaknya di Indonesia, dapat mengakibatkan musim kemarau panjang. Ini tentu saja berbahaya karena bisa menyebabkan kekeringan, kebakaran hutan dan lahan, kematian tanaman pertanian, polusi asap, serta gangguan penerbangan, pelayaran, bahkan pernapasan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Di sisi lain, dapat \u2018mendatangkan\u2019 ikan yang lebih banyak di laut sebelah selatan Jawa dan Sumatera juga, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lho<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">! Dampaknya ternyata tidak selalu buruk, ya.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Upaya untuk Mengurangi Dampak El Nino<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-287130\" src=\"https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-5.png 800w, https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-5-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/quipperhome.wpcomstaging.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/El-Nino-5-768x512.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gejala alam yang terjadi karena El Nino tidak dapat dicegah. Maka, mengingat adanya dampak berbahaya yang dapat terjadi, maka tentu saja diperlukan tindakan untuk mengurangi dampaknya ya, Quipperian!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ini dia beberapa contoh upaya untuk mengurangi dampaknya:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Pertama<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, masyarakat harus tahu tentang El Nino dan dampak-dampaknya. Kamu sebagai anak sekolah atau lapisan masyarakat yang beruntung dapat mengenyam pendidikan mungkin telah mengetahuinya, tapi bagaimana dengan lapisan masyarakat yang tidak seberuntung itu? Mereka tentunya juga harus memahaminya demi keselamatan mereka juga.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Kedua<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, bahaya kekeringan yang mengancam dapat diminimalisir dengan melakukan konservasi tanah dan air menggunakan metode vegetatif maupun mekanik.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Ketiga<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, agar tidak terjadi gagal panen pada sektor pertanian, dibutuhkan penyiraman teratur bagi tanaman, terutama tanaman musiman seperti padi dan palawija.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Keempat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, demi mencegah kebakaran hutan dan lahan, saluran air harus dibangun juga hingga wilayah hutan dan juga pedalaman.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Kelima<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, membangun pos pemadaman kebakaran pada wilayah hutan serta lahan potensial.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Untungnya, El Nino kini dapat diprediksi hingga 6 bulan sebelum benar-benar terjadi. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fyuhh<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">!
