Yuk, simak selengkapnya!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pengertian Momen Gaya<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Momen gaya adalah perkalian antara gaya dan lengan gaya di suatu sumbu putar yang menyebabkan suatu benda berputar atau berotasi. Momen gaya juga biasa disebut sebagai torsi. Besaran ini termasuk besaran vektor, sehingga arah sangat diperhitungkan. Oleh karena besaran vektor, maka berlaku perkalian silang antara gaya dan lengan gayanya. Secara Fisika, lambang momen gaya adalah \u03c4 (dibaca tau). Satuan momen gaya adalah Newton meter (N.m). Artinya, gaya dan lengan gayanya saling tegak lurus. Mengapa demikian? Karena nilai sin 90<sup>o<\/sup> = 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Penyebab Momen Gaya<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Terjadinya momen gaya disebabkan oleh adanya gaya yang bekerja di suatu sumbu putar. Lalu, batang tersebut diberi gaya F<sub>1<\/sub> dan F<sub>2<\/sub>, di mana arah <em>F<\/em><em><sub>1<\/sub><\/em> berlawanan dengan <em>F<\/em><em><sub>2<\/sub><\/em>. F<sub>1<\/sub> memutar batang berlawanan dengan arah putaran jarum jam terhadap sumbu putar dan F<sub>2<\/sub> memutar batang searah dengan putaran jarum jam terhadap sumbu putar. Oleh karena gaya termasuk besaran vektor, maka harus ada perjanjian tandanya. Misalnya, gaya yang searah putaran jarum jam diberi tanda + dan gaya yang berlawanan dengan arah putara jarum jam diberi tanda -. Sementara itu, sudut yang dibentuk antara gaya dan lengan gayanya, baik F<sub>1<\/sub> maupun F<sub>2<\/sub>, adalah sama yaitu 90<sup>o<\/sup>. Dalam hal ini, engsel berfungsi sebagai titik tumpu. Semakin dekat dengat engsel, semakin kecil momen gayanya. Sebaliknya, semakin jauh dari engsel, semakin besar momen gayanya. Dengan demikian, pintu lebih mudah untuk dibuka.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pernahkah kamu menggunakan obeng? Untuk memudahkan kamu dalam membuka sekrup, letakkan tangan di ujung obeng, sehingga jauh dari ujung tumpuan obeng.
