Ya, benar sekali. Tegangan listrik yang biasa digunakan adalah 220 V. Tentu itu bukan nilai yang kecil ya. Mengingat, nilai tegangan 220 V bisa menghasilkan kuat arus yang sangat besar pula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Padahal, di berbagai perangkat elektronik, ada keterangan kuat arus maksimum yang boleh diberikan. Jika kuat arus yang diterima melebihi batas, maka perangkat elektronik bisa meledak, lho<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kenyataannya, semua perangkat elektronik itu bisa berjalan optimal kan? Kira-kira mengapa ya? Hal itu dikarenakan ada nilai resistansi di setiap perangkat. Apa yang dimaksud resistansi? Daripada penasaran, yuk simak selengkapnya!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pengertian Resistansi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Resistansi adalah kemampuan suatu bahan untuk menghambat laju aliran muatan listrik atau arus listrik<\/strong>. Itulah mengapa, komponen yang memiliki kemampuan semacam ini disebut sebagai resistor atau hambatan listrik. Semakin besar resistansi suatu bahan, semakin kecil arus listrik yang akan mengalir pada bahan tersebut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Resistor ini ditemukan oleh seorang ilmuwan asal Jerman, yaitu <strong>George Simon Ohm<\/strong>. Dari penemuan itulah nama Ohm disematkan sebagai satuan hambatan listrik. Setiap bahan memiliki nilai resistansi yang berbeda-beda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contohnya konduktor memiliki resistansi bahan yang kecil, sehingga konduktor bisa dijadikan penghantar listrik yang baik. Kondisi itu tentu berkebalikan dengan isolator yang resistansinya besar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mudahnya, cara kerja resistor atau hambatan listrik bisa dianalogikan klep kran air. Jika klep kamu buka penuh, debit airnya akan semakin besar. Jika klep kamu buka sedikit, debit air yang keluar akan semakin sedikit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lambang dan Satuan Resistansi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Resistansi atau dalam bahasa Inggris resistance memiliki lambang atau simbol Fisika R. Satuan resistansi diambil dari penemunya, yaitu Ohm atau dalam bahasa Latin disimbolkan sebagai Omega (\u2126). Jika kamu menjumpai keterangan R pada suatu perangkat elektronik, itu menandakan nilai hambatan yang terpasang. Artinya, semakin panjang bahan atau semakin kecil luas penampang, semakin besar resistansi bahan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sebaliknya, semakin pendek atau semakin besar luas penampang bahan, semakin kecil resistansinya. FYI, nilai hambatan jenis setiap bahan itu tetap ya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Untuk lebih jelasnya, simak contoh berikut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Suatu kawat tembaga yang panjangnya 50 cm memiliki hambatan jenis 1,7 \u00d7 10<sup>-8<\/sup> \u2126m. Itu artinya, kayu dan mika sulit dialiri arus listrik atau bersifat isolator (tidak mampu menghantarkan arus listrik).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Semakin kecil hambatan jenis bahan, semakin besar kemampuan bahan untuk menghantarkan listrik.
